Event hub where state teams pick up hotel keys, welcome materials and other important event info. Teams also will have the opportunity to meet the sponsors who make MATHCOUNTS possible and learn about the interesting STEM work they do!

Coaches' Meeting
6:15 – 7:00pm ET   |   Rock Creek Ballroom
Mandatory for official state team coaches. Coaches will have dinner with students in Anacostia Ballroom immediately following the Coaches' Meeting.

8:00 – 9:30pm ET
Location determined by official state team coach.

MATHCOUNTS Written Competition
8:45 – 11:15am ET   |   Rock Creek Ballroom
The final level of the MATHCOUNTS Competition Series, where the top 224 Mathletes in the nation will complete both individual and team rounds of rigorous math competition. Closed to the public.

Preparing Strong Math Students for College and Careers
9:30 – 10:30am ET   |   Anacostia Ballroom
Seminar presented by Richard Rusczyk, MATHCOUNTS alumnus and Art of Problem Solving Founder. Open to all guests.

State Teams on Own for Sightseeing
11:30am ET -   |  
Teams will be free to visit the DC attractions of their choice.

MATHCOUNTS Countdown Round

Showcase of the nation's top young mathematicians. Twelve students with the highest scores on the MATHCOUNTS written exam will compete head-to-head in thrilling, fast-paced match-ups and vie for the title of National Champion. Medals will be presented to winning students. Open to the public (registration required).

Celebration Reception
12:30 – 1:30pm ET   |   River Birch Ballroom
Reception hosted by Nancy Blackwell, Chair of the MATHCOUNTS Board of Directors, for supporters and friends of MATHCOUNTS. Highlights from the program year will be shared and special guests will be recognized for their contributions to the program. By invitation only.
