Steps to Register

1. Ensure Eligibility

A student may compete as a non-school competitor (NSC) only if their official school of record is not registering for the program and will not support student participation in the program through the school. An NSC must be a student in grades 6-8. MATHCOUNTS encourages students to pursue all avenues to participate through their school before registering as NSCs. MATHCOUNTS (1) may contact the schools of registered NSCs to confirm that the school is not participating in the Competition Series and (2) reserves the right to cancel an NSC’s registration, without refund, if their school registers for the Competition Series.
