Pascal's Triangle is easy to create and houses an amazing number of useful patterns! This exploration is a deep dive into Pascal’s Triangle in which Mathletes explore its structure, its many patterns and how it can be used to solve all kinds of math problems. Bonus: step-by-step solutions are provided for Part 3 of this activity.

Materials Needed
  • 1 Part 1 PDF presentation
  • 1 Parts 1 & 2 handout per student
  • 1 Part 3 handout per student
  • Highlighters and markers (at least a few colors per student)
  • Stopwatch (or use the timer on your phone)
