Game Recap

In Math Golf, Mathletes roll dice and try to eliminate numbers that sum to their roll with the goal of eliminating as many numbers as possible and end up with the lowest score at the end of the game. Students will practice their arithmetic skills and can dive deeper into probability, combinations and strategy. Bonus: This activity includes Google Classroom-compatible resources.

Materials Needed
  • 1 game board per student
  • 2 six-sided dice per pair or group of students
  • 1 writing utensil per student
stack of game mats, 2 dice, pencil

Only registered math clubs can access this activity. Fortunately, for you, the National Math Club is completely free and open to both 
schools and non-school groups. If you're a volunteer or educator leading 4 or more students in grades 6-8, you're likely eligible.
