Problem Set Recap

Being able to take multiple approaches to solve problems is an invaluable skill! In our Fun Problem-Solving Techniques problem set, Mathletes look at 4 techniques: creating a model, acting out a situation, drawing a picture and making a list.

Materials Needed
  • 1 problem set per student
  • 1 scissors per student
  • 1 ruler per student
  • 3 colored pencils per student (red, green and yellow)
  • Scratch paper

Only registered math clubs can access this activity. Fortunately, for you, the National Math Club is completely free and open to both 
schools and non-school groups. If you're a volunteer or educator leading 4 or more students in grades 6-8, you're likely eligible.
