[MATHCOUNTS] helped me discover that I was a student who excelled in STEM subjects...Additionally I helped other students fall in love with math by helping out the middle school team of which I used to be a part, by proctoring middle school math exams, and by tutoring students in math so that they could better understand it. Without MATHCOUNTS, it is entirely possible that I might not have developed an interest or strength in math or STEM-related fields and that I would not have helped people reach their math goals.
